French media has posted multiple videos of a man in an Apple Store in Dijon, France, smashing tens of thousands of dollars worth of iPhones and Macs. He removed display products from their stands, placed them flat on the tables and then smashed them with a heavy steel ball used for the popular French game of Boules.


Most of the products he smashed were iPhones, but he also smashed at least one MacBook and multiple iMacs, according to iPhonote. The videos were tweeted by @quentin_IOS.

The man can be heard shouting about his consumer rights. Some reports say that he claims Apple refused to honor the EU requirement to provide warranty cover for two years after purchase.

A siren can be heard during the rampage, which is the sound that alerts employees to a tripped security alarm being triggered on products. There are no reports of anyone being hurt, and it appears that staff evacuated customers from the store.

The man is accosted by mall security staff, who detain him until police arrive. At one point, the man breaks free and makes a run for it, but is quickly apprehended.

All this is brilliant. There really are some welcome changes. But please just give me a standard blank watch face with photo backgrounds. It's not hard. We already have a digital face photo background. I'm assuming they're worried people will copy other people's watch faces and put them on there, but that's up to them. Apple wouldn't be at fault. Obliviously I know scraping it on concrete will scratch it. I'm not complaining that I scratched my watch skateboarding. I just think this shouldn't be referred to a "sport" watch by any means because of its design. This video is for people who DON'T have the watch or just want to know how easy it is to scratch.

This is the most ridiculous thing about the sport watch, which is its not ready to be worn during real sports. How can Apple call this a sport version if it gets damaged easier than those versions for the office? Does the office guy in a suit and tie really need a stronger screen than the sports guy? Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference kicks off on Monday, June 13 with a keynote event at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time, where Apple is expected to show off the latest versions of its iOS, OS X, tvOS, and watchOS operating systems and perhaps debut new features for services like Apple Pay and iCloud.


Apple has said new versions of  watchOS 3 will be introduced at WWDC, but we have not heard any details on what new versions of these operating systems might include. Drawing from what we expect for iOS 10 and OS X 10.12, the two operating systems could feature Siri improvements and design tweaks to match any design changes coming to iOS 10, but beyond that, we don't have any insight into what to expect. We do know that as of June 1, Apple is requiring new Apple Watch apps submitted to the App Store to be native apps, suggesting Apple has plans for deeper native app capabilities. At the very least, a push towards native apps is encouraging because it will result in Apple Watch apps that are able to open more quickly and work more smoothly in watchOS 3.

Apple has added Gold and Rose Gold to the Apple Watch Sport lineup in addition to new watchband colors and configurations.

This is a bit upsetting. Clearly Apple didn't release the gold or rose gold option when I bought my aluminum watch. So, why the heck did they make a late release of the gold? Thats easy actually. You see, the watch was not selling very well and they knew that have a gold or rose gold plated watch for the same price would boost sales by about 5%. Thats a lot of money for them. 

I would have really liked to have the gold one. Maybe later if they ever get an watch with the #1 feature that the public demands...a side camera so that you can take a photo with it and have it instantly move to your iPhone so it wont take up the watch memory...and I'm not talking FaceTime...really who uses that? I have more than 20 friends with iPhones and not one uses it. All anyone wants from an watch is to take photos and upload them to social media sites. Lets wait and see what Apple does shall we?
